VaultView — Real-Time Analytics Dashboard for a Fintech Startup

From spreadsheet chaos to a single pane of glass — in eight weeks.

The Challenge

A Series A fintech startup was drowning in disconnected data. Their compliance, treasury, and ops teams each relied on separate spreadsheets updated manually every morning. Leadership had no real-time view of portfolio risk, and monthly reporting took an entire week to compile. They needed a custom web application that could unify their data sources and give every team a live, role-based dashboard — without a six-month enterprise build.

Our Solution

We built VaultView as a custom web application on Next.js and TypeScript, with a PostgreSQL backend and real-time data pipelines pulling from three internal APIs and two third-party feeds. Each team got a tailored dashboard view with role-based access controls. We delivered the MVP in a fixed-price, phased engagement: discovery and data mapping in week one, core dashboard in weeks two through five, and compliance-specific views plus alerting in weeks six through eight. Direct access to our engineers meant the founders could course-correct on every weekly demo without going through an account manager.

The Results

Impact &
Outcomes

Result 01

72% reduction in monthly reporting time — from five days to under two

Result 02

Real-time risk visibility across all three business units for the first time

Result 03

Zero production incidents in the first 90 days post-launch

We spoke directly with the engineers building it — every single week. That is not something we got from the two agencies we tried before. VaultView shipped on time, on budget, and our ops team actually uses it daily.
